Wishing to experience shibari for the first time? Or maybe to satisfy a fantasy that you may have haboured for the longest time? Or just plain wanting to experience an intimate shibari session. Whatever your reasons may be, if it is your first time with me, please take some time to read the follow FAQs.
I do not have any prior experience in shibari/in BDSM/or any kinks; or I am unsure if I am suited as a rope bottom.
Experience isn’t needed. So do not worry 🙂 Rope is pretty adaptable so it can be adapted to different body types and flexibility levels.
In fact, many of my clients are people wishing to explore something new! What I can give is a more controlled private environment, where you can focus more on your experience; rather than be distracted by others or onlookers.
We will decide together how to best make our meeting feel safe and enjoyable for you, during pre-negotiation and as we go along before the session itself.
I welcome people of any age, gender and body type who are above 20. More importantly is that you approach this positively and have healthy intentions seeking it out.
However, I do not accept people with PTSD, past trauma, or prone to anxiety attacks. I am not a trained professional in this area and would not like to take the risk of putting either of us in any unfavourable situations. That would be a situation that I do not wish to take any responsibilities to. If you feel or suspect that you have a probable chance, I will urge you to not to book a session for the safety for both of us.
And that will bring me to …
What about safety?
There are definitely some precautions to take during the session – physical and emotional safety for the both of us, as well as consent. Everyone’s level of comfort and needs are inheritantly different and hence we need to come to a consensus on consent and boundaries. When we do meet up, I will go through some basic things to look out for.
It is always perfectly ok to want a lower risk level session. And in any case during the session where you do not feel comfortable, you can always stop it. And the everything will be resetted. No questions asked.
The most probable serious injury that may happen would be radial nerve damage. This is caused by hard compression into the a certain spot on the arm. Some ties are known to have higher risks on this, while others are very unlikely cause such issues. Although such risks are much lower when tying with someone quite knowledgable in ties, the risk is still there. This is because every body is different and it can be unpredicable especially with someone new. More information could be found here.
Personally I am not very keen to do full suspension on a new person whom I just met. And even less so in tying the person in upper body loading suspesion. (Where the load is mainly on the upper body)
On the topic of emotional safety, it will generally be on personal limits and boundaries. Things that you want and do not want to have during the session, hard and soft limits, no-go zones for touching / tied.
I do my best to keep you safe, and have the whole session safe and enjoyable for you. However, you must always understanding that doing and being tied in shibari will always come with certain risks.
As a consenting adult, you agree that this activity carries certain degree of risk. And it is your responsibility to inform and communicate any prior injuries, and if something feels wrong before and during the session. If you agree to have a session with me, you are agreeing to a Risk Aware Consensual Kink. No one, no matter experience level will be 100% certain that nothing will go wrong. We agree to have clear communication and awareness so that we can minimise the risk.
Can I bring a friend to watch?
While I do not mind if you bring a chaperone along, he/she will be place away from sight, but in the same room. This is because it is easily for you to appreciate the session without being observed or being gazed at.
Can photos / videos be taken during the session?
This has to be communicated during your initial contact with me. But video is strictly not allowed.
A photoshoot session requires a different set of challenges to be considered. Morever, if you are intending to experience the sensuality of rope, this may not work in your favour.
However, if you are a content creator wishing to work with me, we can discuss it as a seperate project and I welcome you!
How can I be vetted?
I’m quite public with what I do. There are also many models or bottoms whom I had worked before. You can reach out to them independently to seek a second opinion of me. Usually they are tagged in my photos on my Instagram.
Cool beans! I love it and how do I book a session?
You can drop me a DM on my Instagram as one of the fastest way to get to me. OR send me an email (mrstrugglingguy@gmaill.com) introducing yourself and what do you wish to have / interested in.
